Combination of AI CCTV technology and sound field change detection technology

Expanding safety solution business areas to prevent various accidents

[Edaily Park Soon-yeop] Security equipment specialist Hitron (019490) Systems announced on the 24th that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with Secuworks to expand its business areas in the safety solution field.

Hitron Systems is a security equipment specialist whose main business is the development and sale of security cameras and storage devices, and recently launched the AI (artificial intelligence) CCTV brand ‘HASS’ (Hitron AI Surveillance Solutions).

Secuworks is a sound field-based AI smart sensor specialist company that has a solution that forms a sound field by emitting sound of a specific frequency (inaudible frequency that humans cannot hear) and analyzes sound field changes with AI solutions to detect dangerous situations.

Through this agreement, the two companies plan to launch a convergence solution product that combines Hitron Systems’ AI CCTV technology and Secuworks’ sound field change detection technology. This is a strategy to expand the business area of safety solutions that prevent accidents that may occur in industrial sites and living spaces for the elderly living alone.

Hitron Systems expects that by combining its video data acquisition and transmission technology with Secuworks' sound spectrum change analysis technology, it will be able to eliminate blind spots in video equipment surveillance and prevent various safety accidents. The company plans to commercialize the solution by applying it to areas such as electric vehicle charging abnormality detection along with the unmanned parking lot surveillance business currently in progress.

It is also working to secure competitiveness by obtaining government certification. The Ministry of Science and ICT recently announced that it will foster physical security such as intelligent CCTV as a next-generation growth industry. Based on this MOU, Hitron Systems plans to strengthen the technological prowess of its AI solutions and pursue government certification in the physical security field while also working to secure domestic and international product sales channels.

In addition, Hitron Systems sees the recent unstable international situation, such as the recent US-China trade conflict restricting Chinese security companies' entry into the global market, as a new opportunity for the security industry and plans to expand product sales in response to changes in the global market.
